I've watched a few bowl games the past couple days and I'm watching the cotton bowl right now and this damn commercial comes on every fucking break on every game I've seen and I'm so annoyed by it hahaha

Yeah, the commercial is quite dumb, but at least the vehicle is quite nice in person.

Saw a few of these on a lot mixed in with some leftover 2013 Rogues, and the new 2014 is a rather slick looking vehicle.

Of course, if I was to buy one, I'd get an X-Trail badge to swap on the rear.

Commercials are supposed to make you want the cars in them. This commercial makes me hate the Nissan Rogue. Screw this commercial.

Also, that Acura ad with the guy yelling repeatedly, "THERE'S A DEAL!" can go die in a hole.

The car doesn't seen half bad but the commercial doesn't make me want to buy one, that's for sure. Don't think I've seen the Acura one yet, but I'm sure once I do it'll probably be played nonstop.

Which is why I record the games for an hour or so on DVR then start watching. That way I can skip past the commercials. Tonight, I watched the first half of the Cotton Bowl then moved to the Orange. At halftime of the Orange, I'll switch back to Cotton. But yes, I'm even sick of skipping this commercial.

This ad breaks so many good advertising rules:

1. be truthful, don't make up stupid crap about the product that isn't remotely true...even with disclaimers

2. don't shout, the audience can hear you if you are making sense

3. if your ad features car stunts, they had better be real stunts, not CGI.

Jan is perfect for Toyota, though. Mildly attractive, but not stunning. Not offensive, Dressed conservatively, but nice. She'd be a nice woman to be with, but wouldn't ignite any passions (but is also less likely to set your house and stuff on fire). She's the Toyota of women.
